Los Latinos is a household name amongst Latin music lovers in South Africa. The group is headed by lead vocalist / rhythm guitarist Issy Begg, with Kasif Bignaut on lead guitar and vocals, Cas Mohamed on percussion, and Ashraf Blignaut on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. They have performed across the country in centres including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, East London and Durban, and for high profile corporates including Sun Coast Casino, Pam Golding, Aida, Sol Kerzner, Ernst & Young, Fair Lady and many more. The group regularly perform at top Cape Town restaurants such as Seaforth (Simonstown), Cape to Cuba (Cape Town), Fiesta Cape Quarter (Green Point), and various V&A Waterfront establishments.
This sophisticated and cosmopolitan band performs with class and passion, and covers a unique blend of music, including lively dance music; softer dance songs, background instrumental and more virtuoso instrumental repertoire. Their (and audiences'!) favourites include:
