The Allegro string quartet is assembled entirely from members of Kwa-Zulu Natal Philharmonic orchestra in Durban which will assure you of a very high standard. The quartet was established in1994 by Kolio Kolev, cellist with Kwa Zulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra and his wife Petia, principal violinist with KZNPO. The other two members, also musicians with KZNPO are Valja Koleva- violin and Todor Hadjiev -viola. All four members have M-Muss obtained from the Bulgarian State Conservatoire in Sofia.

Allegro string quartet has a very busy schedule playing for weddings, various business and private functions. The group has performed for politicians and dignitaries like Nelson Mandela, FW De Klerk, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Charles, and they've played at most of the five stars hotels in Durban and KZN, including The Royal hotel, The Hilton, Zimbaly and many more. Allegro is the first choice of many wedding coordinators and upmarket wedding venues such Tala, Collisheen, Braeside, Makaranga, etc.

The sound of the quartet is smooth, romantic and refined. Whether your event is an intimate gathering or a lavish formal affair, Allegro will create an elegant atmosphere throughout your special day and will make an impression that will last long after the celebration is over.
