Linda van Coppenhagen commenced with formal vocal training in 2004 and currently studies voice with Emma Renzi and music theory and piano with Prof. Johann Potgieter.   Some of her performance highlights include her recent singing contract as classical and light classical singer at the Palace of the Lost City and at the Sun City Main Hotel for the 2008/ 2009 festive season. Earlier in 2008 she also performed at IBM’s National Sales University Convention at the Sun City Extravaganza Theatre.

Linda recently made her début as classical singer with the Pretoria-based classical impressario and recording company, Salon Music. Her selection as one of Salon Music’s finalists in their 2008 national classical singing competition “Discovering Voices” is also a highlight in her career.

In 2006 she made her début on the opera stage in the role of Der Erste Knabe in Pro Musica’s production of Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute). As a member of the Pro Musica Opera Chorus she sang in various other operas.

Linda frequently sings as freelance vocalist at weddings, five-star hotels, restaurants and various functions. She holds a BA Psychology degree (RAU) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (UNISA). Linda is completing an opera performer’s licentiate (UNISA) and also teaches piano and voice. Linda also does photographic modeling and appears in television and magazine adverts, as well as in corporate promotional films.
