BALKANTU
Based in Cape Town
Balkantu’s music is a creative blend of Balkan/Gypsy- and light Classical styles that appeal to a wide range of audiences.  Their name adequately refers to the Italian words “bella canto” which means “beautiful song”.  This Stellenbosch based group showcases flashy ‘fiddling’, versatile piano expertise and impressive ensemble playing in a great variety of humm-able, toe-tapping tunes.  They skillfully revive popular classics and well-known gypsy songs with playful improvisation while maintaining the integrity and quality of the music. Lyric Trio
Based in Johanneburg
Established by Laurie Howe,  Lyric Ensemble has been part of South Africa's music industry for 10 years. Laurie moved to South Africa after completing her Masters degree in New York. Here she was the assistant principal cellist for the SABC Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra. MORE

Madrigal Ensemble was established in 1980, by David Tombak, composer and arranger who was trained in USSR in Riga.  The Ensemble consists of highly professional musicians, trained in Italy, Russia, Rumania, Bulgaria and the United States of America.
